THE STORY
A SPORT WITHOUT A PERMANENT HOME
For decades, radio controlled motorsports enthusiasts have traveled from track to track, lake to lake and field to field to compete.
I know that experience firsthand.
After nearly 50 years participating in radio controlled boat racing, I experienced a problem that had become increasingly difficult to ignore: even after decades of organized competition, securing appropriate facilities for major events could still be difficult.
That experience led to a simple question:
What if the sport had a permanent destination of its own?
The same challenge exists across RC cars, aircraft, drones and boats. Clubs and organizations often operate with limited resources while competing for increasingly scarce recreational land.
The result is a fragmented industry with passionate participants but limited permanent infrastructure.
GRAN PRIX RC WAS BORN FROM THAT GAP.
The original idea was to create a permanent destination where the major disciplines of radio controlled motorsports could operate together.
But as the concept developed, it became clear that the opportunity was larger than motorsports alone.
A successful destination would need to attract families, tourists, businesses, schools and people who may never have considered themselves RC enthusiasts.
That led to the development of a broader lifestyle model incorporating:
- Motorsports
- Hospitality
- Residential living
- RV accommodations
- Restaurants
- Retail
- Events
- Entertainment
- STEM education
FROM HOBBY TO SPORT
Radio controlled motorsports combine competition, engineering, technology, strategy and skill.
Participants design, build, tune and operate highly sophisticated vehicles and equipment.
The objective of Gran Prix RC is not simply to create another place to operate an RC vehicle.
It is to create the infrastructure necessary to elevate the activity into a recognizable destination sport and entertainment category.
THE LONG-TERM VISION
Gran Prix RC is being developed as a phased real-estate and experiential platform.
The initial development establishes the motorsports and residential foundation.
Future phases add entertainment, hospitality and destination-scale amenities.
The ultimate objective is to create a model that can be replicated in additional markets.

Founder & Managing Partner
Nearly five decades of participation in radio controlled motorsports led to the original insight behind Gran Prix RC:
The sport doesn't lack enthusiasts. It lacks permanent infrastructure.
Gran Prix RC is designed to solve that problem.
